Composition– Tranexamic acid, Mefenamic acid Tablet. 

Mefenamic acid and tranexamic acid tablet is prescribed for the treatment of heavy menstrual bleeding along with painful period cramps. The tablet  is used to relive the pain and manage the blood loss. The combination works to help to provide comfort from severe pain. The first component of the medicine tranexamic acid is a anti-fibrinolytic which works to prevent the breakdown of blood clots, it helps to manage and control excessive bleeding during periods. The second component is mefenamic acid on the other hand is non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug(NSAID). Which blocks certain chemical production that causes pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). The tablet is mot suggested to be used for long-term consumption.
